Our workshop also specializes in the restoration of old canoes, which is carried out with respect to tradition. On occasion, we buy old cedar canoes and sell them restored.

The cedar canvas canoe is, relatively easy to restore. In most cases, it is necessary to replace the old painted canvas. But canvas, contrary to fibreglass covered canoes, is not welded to the hull. It is easy to remove giving quick access to the defective wooden parts that need replacement.

Using the same species of wood, we replace the rotten, broken or worn-out parts, trying to match the colour and patina that time and use has given the wood. Here are some examples of the work and repairs we execute. For a complete list, please look at our prices page.
